Hello lovely!
If you've been on my blog for quite some time, you'd know I basically love makeup. I love playing around with different eyeshadows, creating gorgeous eye looks and having the perfect base, perfect blush and what not. I just enjoy it too much. But, as much as I love all of that, I was never into experimenting with brushes and sponges or anything else that isn't my fingers for my foundation and concealer.
Well.. That was until a new beauty became a part of my makeup routine.
Meet my very first, very popular, very well known and loved, Beauty Blender! Yes, I'm very late on the trend but better late than never. To be completely honest, I always thought these were way over-hyped and thought 'okay... how much can a sponge really do' and I was never bothered to try it or spend my money on it when my fingers were just enough to give me a base I wanted.
For some reason, I have been wanting to give the good old makeup trend a go and test it out for myself. Although, every time I've been meaning to do so, I end up putting it off because I didn't want to splurge on a sponge that did no more than my fingers.
Little did I know, I was very wrong. I've been using this for about a week or two now and I genuinely love it. It makes my foundation look so seamless, it lasts a lot longer throughout the day and it gives that really airbrushed effect which I absolutely love!
I've used a couple of different foundations and concealers, heavy and light with the Beauty Blender and it always turns out looking amazing! I like wetting it a little bit before using it as you're supposed to do and when I'm done, I'll just let it air dry on it's container and when it's completely dry, it'll fall back in as you might already know.
I have been washing it after every couple of uses just to keep it clean and stay hygienic, but I haven't bought it's own cleanser so if you'd like to see how I clean my Beauty Blender, let me know down in the comments!
All in all, I love it. I think it's a great addition to my makeup routine and I'd definitely recommend giving it a go instead of makeup brushes if you're willing to spend a little bit!
Have you tried the Beauty Blender? Loved it or hated it? Let me know down below!
That is all for today's post, I hope you guys enjoyed. Don't forget to come back tomorrow for a new post and if that's the case, I will see you then!
Lots of love,
xoxo

I have never tried the beauty blender, as I think its rather expensive. But I have recently discovered the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, and get the exact same results as what you've talked about here for only about £6.99. Would be interesting to try both and see if there is any difference.
ReplyDeleteGreat post :)

It definitely is expensive for just a sponge which is why I've put it off for so long, but the results made it a bit better. I don't know how long it will last, but I'd love to try the Real Techinques one and do a little comparison! Thanks for letting me know about that xo
