My Daily Makeup Essentials!

Hello gorgeous!

For some reason, I am always one to rush when getting ready. Whether I'm up an hour or 3 before having to head somewhere, rushing is just a part of the routine. To try and sort that out and perhaps spare a few minutes, I have put my most reached for products in a little acrylic organiser which contains all the makeup I need on a daily basis and more. And I thought I'd show you!

Starting off with what's on top of the organiser, I have my all time favourite foundation which I reach for pretty much everyday and it is the Studio Fix Fluid foundation from Mac, it lasts long, is my exact shade and gives amazing coverage. Next to that I have a pen holder which I use for my makeup brushes and these are actually all the makeup brushes I own, it's barely anything compared to most bloggers and makeup addicts but it works for me and I'm pretty pleased with what I can do from just these! I've got a couple of Urban Decay brushes, a few Lancome ones as well as some Adore ones!

I do like dividing the drawers I have based on their categories, so my 'lippies' drawer contains two lipsticks, the Bobbi Brown lipstick in Sandwash Pink no. 22 which I have raved about for over a year now on the blog as well as the Maybelline Colour Sensational in Intense Pink no. 140. I also have my favourite lip gloss, the Urban Decay Naked Lip gloss in the shade Rule34. All are pretty neutral and nude which I actually like, I might change it up for the sake of Autumn, but I'm not sure I'm brave enough for bald shades just yet!

In my 'base' drawer I have my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation for days where I want glowy skin and light coverage. For my dark circles, I have my Mac Mineralise concealer which I absolutely love and is actually running out so I do need a repurchase soon. I also have the Bassam Fattouh correcting concealer which was recommended to me by a makeup artist and the INGLOT creamy concealer, both I only have here to finish up quite honestly since they haven't done the trick and I'm hardly a fan.

My 'miscellaneous' drawer contains eye products and face products which didn't fit into their drawers so I have the Naked 2 Basics palette by Urban Decay which is the perfect matte palette for neutral eye looks, the Clinique double face powder which I use to mattify my face. For blush, I have the Sabaya blush in 03, it has been a favourite for years, it goes with every makeup look whether I'm tan or pale and it is just an essential. For primers, I have the Brightening and Tightening Complexion Primer Potion for my face as well as the Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden for my eyelids, I've spoken about the two before and I do try to make time for them everyday as I do expect my makeup to last reasonably long because I never manage to retouch!

Last but not least, my 'eyes' drawer contains the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette for days when I want a shimmery look because they do last much longer and for day to day, I'll pop one shade on and I'm good to go, it really saves a lot of time! For mascara, I have the Roller Lash by Benefit which is just perfect for length and volume on its own, but if I have enough time to layer up, I do have the BADgal lash which just enhances the look even more. Another Benefit product is the They're Real Push-Up liner, I never thought I'd love gel liners until I tried this one and I'm just amazed by how easy it is to apply, the lasting power and the fact that it is always smudge-free, perfect! Lastly, I have my La Tweez tweezers which I just keep in case I need a little eyebrow fix.

That is all of my daily makeup essentials! What are you must-have makeup products on a day to day basis, especially when it comes the cooler months? Let me know down below!

Lots of love,
xoxo

  1. Really beautiful pictures and organization. I always thought that office stationery can come in very handy for organizing makeup and I was right. I'll definitely buy one of those pen holders for organizing my brushes. Nice post!

  4. I love how organized you are! Everything has a place, and looks so nice. I love the containers you used to store everything, they are so cute. Plus, it's nice that you can see what's inside of them. It makes your desk look nice, organized, and so neat.
