Collective Book Haul: My Little Summer Library!

Hello readers!

Waking up to a lovely cup of tea and a delicious cupcake always boosts me up, so to take that joy a little bit higher, a good read can never be wrong.

As most of you probably know, I have a slight addiction to books. I just love that feeling I get, away from reality and into that exotic world within the book. For a whole moment, you're a different person, with a different point of view and completely different surroundings. Simply amazing!

So, to pump up my summer, I bought a few books that I'll hopefully enjoy by the pool, on the beach, and all the delightful places of summer!

Most of these books I haven't started with yet, and they were random picks/recommendations, so I'll just give you a little summary from the back and I might add a few things such as my opinions after reading them.

Let's begin!

#1: The Wedding Guests by Meredith Goldstein

This pretty book is all about one wedding and five nightmare guests with five ways to ruin the happiest day of someone else's life. You're all probably thinking.. Why on earth would you buy such a book? Well.. I love weddings and fairytale endings, so basically, I bought this hoping for a lovely happy ending.

#2: What I Did On My Holidays by Chrissie Manby

"When Callum dumps Sophie the night before they were meant to go to Majorca together, she has a choice; completely forget about the holiday, or go without him? In a show of bravery and independence, Sophie says she'll go to Majorca alone. But actually, she hides in her London flat. And when her friends and family (not to mention Callum) seem impressed by her single girl courage, Sophie decides to go all out and create the ultimate 'fake break'. . . with hilarious results."

This one was recommended by the lady in Virgin and it actually caught my eye, so I'm looking forward to this one! I mean.. How cute is the cover? Screams out summer to me!

#3: P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern

I know this already has a movie, but to be honest, every time I try to watch it, it just never happens. So, why not read the book? "Childhood sweethearts, they could finish each others sentences and even when they fought, they laughed. No one could imagine Holly and Gerry without each other. Until the unthinkable happens. Gerry's death devastates Holly. But as her 30th birthday looms, Gerry comes back to her. He's left her a bundle of notes, gently guiding Holly into her new life without him, each note signed 'PS, I Love You'."

That's so sad, so I'll probably need a tissue box beside me while reading this one. I think I may have read something similar, which is 'By The Time You Read This' and I absolutely loved it. It's one of my favourite books, so I'm very interested to dig into this one.

#4: One Or Two Things I Learned About Love by Dyan Sheldon

The Summary - "I'd only ever had two and a half dates in my whole life (and I didn't count the half), but even though I was girl-most-likely-to-graduate-high-school-without-being-kissed, I still thought I knew a lot about love. That was before I met Connor Bowden and found out how wrong I was.
This was recommended by a friend of mine, so I thought I'd give it a go! I'm sensing a good love story?

#5: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

This gorgeous book, my mum bought is simply amazing! I've read this before which is why I've recommended it to people myself. I loved the book all in all, but I don't think I've given it a fair read, which is why it's back on my reading list! It's about 4 sisters, one on the brink of love, a tomboy who longs to be a writer, a sweetheart, and their little precious sister. They're the irresistible March sisters, bringing you an unforgettable classic!

#6: Save Haven by Nicholas Sparks

You can never go wrong when purchasing a Nicholas Sparks novel. I have fallen in love with each and everyone of his novels, as well as the movies. He's simply amazing! This one's already in my bag and I can't wait to begin reading! I won't be giving you this summary because this will definitely have it's own book review, so keep an eye on my blog this summer!

That's all for now! I know most of these are romance novels but that's what I was driven to either by recommendations or they just simply grabbed my attention so that wasn't on purpose. I'm still looking for more novels to read throughout the summer, so if you've read or know of something interesting, be sure to leave a comment down below! Also, if you've read any of these, let me know what you think!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Until next time,
xoxo,
