Collective Book Haul: My Little Summer Library!

Hello readers!

Waking up to a lovely cup of tea and a delicious cupcake always boosts me up, so to take that joy a little bit higher, a good read can never be wrong.

As most of you probably know, I have a slight addiction to books. I just love that feeling I get, away from reality and into that exotic world within the book. For a whole moment, you're a different person, with a different point of view and completely different surroundings. Simply amazing!

So, to pump up my summer, I bought a few books that I'll hopefully enjoy by the pool, on the beach, and all the delightful places of summer!

Most of these books I haven't started with yet, and they were random picks/recommendations, so I'll just give you a little summary from the back and I might add a few things such as my opinions after reading them.

Let's begin!

#1: The Wedding Guests by Meredith Goldstein

This pretty book is all about one wedding and five nightmare guests with five ways to ruin the happiest day of someone else's life. You're all probably thinking.. Why on earth would you buy such a book? Well.. I love weddings and fairytale endings, so basically, I bought this hoping for a lovely happy ending.

#2: What I Did On My Holidays by Chrissie Manby

"When Callum dumps Sophie the night before they were meant to go to Majorca together, she has a choice; completely forget about the holiday, or go without him? In a show of bravery and independence, Sophie says she'll go to Majorca alone. But actually, she hides in her London flat. And when her friends and family (not to mention Callum) seem impressed by her single girl courage, Sophie decides to go all out and create the ultimate 'fake break'. . . with hilarious results."

This one was recommended by the lady in Virgin and it actually caught my eye, so I'm looking forward to this one! I mean.. How cute is the cover? Screams out summer to me!

#3: P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern

I know this already has a movie, but to be honest, every time I try to watch it, it just never happens. So, why not read the book? "Childhood sweethearts, they could finish each others sentences and even when they fought, they laughed. No one could imagine Holly and Gerry without each other. Until the unthinkable happens. Gerry's death devastates Holly. But as her 30th birthday looms, Gerry comes back to her. He's left her a bundle of notes, gently guiding Holly into her new life without him, each note signed 'PS, I Love You'."

That's so sad, so I'll probably need a tissue box beside me while reading this one. I think I may have read something similar, which is 'By The Time You Read This' and I absolutely loved it. It's one of my favourite books, so I'm very interested to dig into this one.
#4: One Or Two Things I Learned About Love by Dyan Sheldon

The Summary - "I'd only ever had two and a half dates in my whole life (and I didn't count the half), but even though I was girl-most-likely-to-graduate-high-school-without-being-kissed, I still thought I knew a lot about love. That was before I met Connor Bowden and found out how wrong I was.
This was recommended by a friend of mine, so I thought I'd give it a go! I'm sensing a good love story?

#5: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

This gorgeous book, my mum bought is simply amazing! I've read this before which is why I've recommended it to people myself. I loved the book all in all, but I don't think I've given it a fair read, which is why it's back on my reading list! It's about 4 sisters, one on the brink of love, a tomboy who longs to be a writer, a sweetheart, and their little precious sister. They're the irresistible March sisters, bringing you an unforgettable classic!

#6: Save Haven by Nicholas Sparks

You can never go wrong when purchasing a Nicholas Sparks novel. I have fallen in love with each and everyone of his novels, as well as the movies. He's simply amazing! This one's already in my bag and I can't wait to begin reading! I won't be giving you this summary because this will definitely have it's own book review, so keep an eye on my blog this summer!

That's all for now! I know most of these are romance novels but that's what I was driven to either by recommendations or they just simply grabbed my attention so that wasn't on purpose. I'm still looking for more novels to read throughout the summer, so if you've read or know of something interesting, be sure to leave a comment down below! Also, if you've read any of these, let me know what you think!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Until next time,

My perfect summer outfits: SheInside

Hello lovelies!

Summer is right outside the door and what does that mean? Shopping! Ah.. Summer. Flip flops, iced tea in the shade, blue skies, late nights, water fights, ice cream, pool parties, sleeping in.. And a whole new wardrobe!

I've been on the hunt for new clothes and all the pretty colours I want to flaunt this summer and basically, a shopaholic like me just never gets enough! My addiction is quite sad, but I'm loving it right now and so should you!

I was scrolling around and browsing tons of fashion sites until I bumped into SheInside, and well, my credit card is no longer weeping. From girly florals, galaxy prints, stripes & polka dots to punk, it's all there! Not only do they have a 15-35% sale, but you also get an extra 15% off using a coupon code after signing up! Drum roll please.... You've got yourself a bargain!

I've been loving this site so typically, I made a collage of my SheInside perfect summer outfits!

I L O V E this outfit! The lace shorts, the floral vest, the blazer, it's all in! Classy & a sprinkle of fun blown right onto your outfit for a perfect summer day. These shorts look super comfy and I'd love to have them on all summer long. The floral top gives you a girly touch and that cheerful look. Who wouldn't want that for summer?! The skull bracelet is my addition for a simple sass. So basically, with this outfit, you're bound to look good without even trying!

One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress. In this case, a little floral dress! The pretty pastel blended with pink and creamy flowers scream 'Look at me'! Every girl wants a sundress for the summer, and this right here, is perfect! The golden necklace gives your girly look just the right edge!

How cute is this? I'm in love with every single piece. I've always wanted a flowy, 3/4 cut sleeve top but failed miserably trying to find one until SheInside decided to please my needs. You can tuck the front in your sweet-heart shorts or just let it flow. Either way, super cute! The shoes add a touch of colour and the cam necklace captures all that cuteness giving you your girl-next-door look in the cutest way!

You know those days where you stay up till sunrise and sleep in all afternoon, waking up and not caring about anything around you? Well this look is the one for those casual, not too bothered days! The top speaks for you and those shorts are right there to comfort you. The ring spices up this outfit, and even in your careless days, you're too cute! Give this look some wavy curls and you're good to go!

Last but not least, a Hawaiian adventure right in your closet! The amazing Hawaiian shorts give this simple white blouse an awesome sprinkle of fun. I obviously have an obsession with all the SheInside accessories and after having to pick which one I'd prefer, this bicycle necklace just screams summer! Biking on beach decks with the wind running through your hair, having a blast with your friends. Photographs will be sure to capture every memorable moment with this outfit on!
I've been waiting for summer anxiously and with SheInside now in my shopping list, I couldn't be more excited! Their pieces are absolutely amazing and I literally don't know how I'm gonna shop without maxing out my credit card!
So, before you hit the ATM and start shopping for summer, make sure to check out and buy away! Don't forget to sign up for that 15% off coupon code!
Leave a comment down below and let me know your favourite out of these 5 outfits, or you could put your own outfit together and send me a photo, I'll put it up with your name as an addition to this post!

Makeup Review: Lipfinity Colour And Gloss Lip gloss by MacFactor

Hello readers!

It's been ages since I posted and I truly missed this blog to bits. To know why I've been away for so long, you'll have to wait for my explanation post. But until then, you may enjoy what's to come!

I've been trying out loads of drugstore products all in search of the perfect drugstore foundation, concealer, lip product, pallet, mascara and so on. Along the way, I'll go through some yays and nays and that's where I'll be giving YOU my reviews.

Let's begin!

Lipfinity Colour And Gloss Lip gloss by MaxFactor

MaxFactor always has one of the most eye-appealing adverts on TV. I'm not one to be seduced by things I see on TV, but the hair, the dress, the makeup.. It's all so perfect! Basically, their adverts have that wow factor, fitting the brand's name perfectly!

I went into Boots looking for a lip product which could have been anything since I was quite desperate for something new. I decided to go for the Shimmer Pink 500 from the Lipfinity Colour And Gloss Lip gloss collection by MaxFactor.

So pink & shimmery, who wouldn't want such a pretty thing?!

I left thinking I just bought something that would give me just the look I wanted. Girly, feminine, fresh, and just the right shine. Sadly, I was wrong. As soon as I put it on, it gave my lips this swelling feeling. I'm not quite sure if it's just me or if that was meant to happen. Some might think, "oh, that's amazing! What is she on about.. who wouldn't want full lips?!" but it's actually otherwise. You feel them swelling but in reality, nothing is actually happening. Your lips are just going numb. Yikes

To be fair, I didn't know there are two steps into applying this gloss. As you can see, the darker shade goes on first, and then you add the shimmer. I decided to apply Step 2 first. Left it on for about five minutes. It dried up so I went with Step 1 not knowing they both 'complete' each other (how cute). My lips were a mess and I wasn't very pleased so I just wiped it all off in utter disappointment.

About a day later, I figured the whole steps thing and I was very excited thinking I could have been wrong about this product. So I applied the gloss, Step 1 to 2 and waited. Literally 2 seconds later, my lips were completely dried up looking like I just coloured them with a crayon. It was that bad, no exaggeration.

I tried using a lip balm before applying, but it didn't work. I'm guessing the chemicals used to make this are meant to dry up but I'm sure it wasn't supposed to give you that ugly effect. But to boost up the creators of this gloss, it actually smells really good so an applause for that!

This Lip gloss is supposed to create a 3D high-light and low-light effect with one rich colour base and one glossy top coat giving you long-lasting colour for up to 10 hours. But honestly, you do not want this on your lips for over 5 minutes.

So my lovely readers, this was a huge NAY and I won't be purchasing anything from this collection anytime soon.

If any of you have tried this, leave a comment below on your opinion about it. If not, what are your favourite drugstore lip products? Also, anything you want me to try for my next lip product review? Just let me know!

I hope you enjoyed this post, it's great to be back!

Lots of love,
